The community foundation submits evidence of relevant materials demonstrating how community issues are identified and how objectives are set to address those issues. The foundation also submits evidence of how the foundation identifies opportunities to act as a leader and convener.

  3. Examples of how the community foundation serves the breath and diversity of the community

You may submit any finalized document as evidence that you meet the key elements listed above.

Our foundation is relatively new - how will we meet all of the key elements for documentation of issues identified and resulting actions?

For a reviewer to check "supports compliance with the related standards," the documentation submitted by a community foundation must address all key elements listed above. However, in recognition that the depth and range of the processes and/or examples will vary depending on the age, asset size, and staff size of the community foundations, reviewers should consider such factors when completing a review. You may submit a narrative to support your examples.
