Carol Bradford Worley is Senior Counsel for the California Community Foundation (CCF), a 501(c)3 public grantmaking foundation in Los Angeles. In this role, she serves as CCF's chief legal officer, managing legal issues for CCF as well as providing guidance on charitable fund development and gifting, asset liquidation and grantmaking issues. Bradford Worley also manages CCF’s participation in and compliance with the Community Foundations National Standards® developed by the Council on Foundations.
Bradford Worley is the past chair of the Non-Profit Organizations Standing Committee, Business Law Section of the California Lawyer’s Association. She is also past chair of the Tax-Exempt Organizations section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Bradford Worley is an active member of several estate planning councils in the Los Angeles County area.
Bradford Worley was a civil litigator in Los Angeles until she "retired" to the nonprofit sector in 2001. Bradford Worley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from CSU Fullerton, and a law degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. She is a frequent speaker on legal and tax issues surrounding complex charitable gifting and estate planning, as well as on the business and administration of community foundations.
